Ingredients
Fruits and Herbs
- 3 strawberries, hulled and quartered
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 lime, juiced
Beverages
- 1/2 cup Sprite (or your favorite lemon-lime soda)
Others
- Ice cubes (enough to fill glass about 2/3 full)
Instructions
- Prepare the Ingredients: Start by hulling and quartering the strawberries, then rinse the mint leaves. Juice half a lime to extract fresh lime juice.
- Muddle Mint and Strawberries: Place the mint leaves and quartered strawberries into a tall glass. Using a muddler or the back of a spoon, gently press them to release their natural aroma and flavors without pulverizing.
- Add Lime Juice: Pour the fresh juice of half a lime into the glass, mixing gently with the muddled ingredients for a zesty kick.
- Fill with Ice: Add ice cubes to the glass until it’s about two-thirds full to chill the drink and keep it refreshing.
- Top with Soda: Pour 1/2 cup of Sprite or your favorite lemon-lime soda over the ice, filling the rest of the glass. Stir gently to combine all flavors.
- Serve: Garnish with a sprig of mint or a strawberry slice if desired, and enjoy this cool, fruity mocktail immediately.
Notes
- For a less sweet version, use soda water instead of lemon-lime soda and add a touch of natural sweetener if needed.
- You can substitute Sprite with any lemon-lime flavored soda brand of your choice.
- To enhance the mint flavor, clap the mint leaves between your hands before muddling to release more oils.
- Adjust the amount of lime juice according to your taste preference for tartness.
- This mocktail is best served fresh to enjoy the bright flavors and fizz.
