This Snickers Apple Salad is a deliciously sweet dessert salad combining creamy Cool Whip, instant butterscotch pudding, chewy Snickers candy bars, and tart green apples. It’s a perfect blend of textures and flavors, making it ideal as a festive dessert or a fun side dish for occasions like Easter, Thanksgiving, summer potlucks, or any casual gathering.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

Pudding Mixture

  • 1 3.4 ounce package instant butterscotch pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 6 ounces Cool Whip, or whipped cream

Fruit and Candy

  • 3 large Granny Smith apples, cut into 1/2″ pieces (reserve 1/2 cup for garnish)
  • 6 full-size Snickers Candy Bars, cut into 1/2″ pieces (reserve 1/2 cup for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding base: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the instant butterscotch pudding mix and milk until well combined. Gently fold in the Cool Whip to create a creamy pudding mixture.
  2. Add apples and Snickers: Carefully fold in the diced Granny Smith apples and chopped Snickers candy bars into the pudding mixture. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve to let the flavors meld.
  3. Serve and garnish: Just before serving, gently stir the salad to combine. Transfer it to a serving bowl, drizzle the caramel sauce over the top, and sprinkle with the reserved diced apples and Snickers pieces for garnish. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Storing instructions: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days to maintain freshness.
  • Make ahead instructions: Prepare the pudding mixture the day before, excluding the apples and extra toppings. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. On the day of serving, dice and fold in the apples and add garnishes just before serving.
