These Keto Tortilla Chips are a crunchy, low-carb alternative to traditional tortilla chips, made primarily with almond flour and mozzarella cheese. Perfect for snacking or serving with your favorite dips, these chips deliver great flavor and texture while staying keto-friendly and gluten-free.

  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 20-25 chips

Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon seasonings of choice (pepper, paprika, etc.)

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (see notes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt Cheese: In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the shredded mozzarella cheese for 1-2 minutes until completely melted and smooth.
  3. Mix Dough: Transfer the melted cheese to a large mixing bowl containing almond flour and seasonings. Mix thoroughly until a thick, cohesive dough forms.
  4. Roll Dough: Place a piece of parchment paper on your kitchen surface. Put the dough ball on it and lightly flatten. Cover with a second sheet of parchment paper and use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to about 1/6 inch thickness.
  5. Cut Chips: Use a pizza cutter or knife to slice the flattened dough into triangle-shaped chips.
  6. Bake: Arrange the uncooked chips on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the chips turn golden brown and crispy.
  7. Cool: Remove the chips from the oven and allow them to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving to ensure maximum crispness.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded mozzarella cheese rather than pre-shredded for better melting properties, as pre-shredded often contains anti-caking agents.
  • Customize your seasoning blend with spices such as garlic powder, chili powder, or cumin for flavor variations.
  • Store cooled chips in an airtight container to maintain crispness.
