Ingredients
Slider Buns and Cheese
- 1 pack King’s Hawaiian Pretzel Slider Buns (9 count)
- 8 slices Pepper Jack Cheese
Filling
- 2 cups Fried Chicken Tenders, roughly chopped
- ½ cup Honey Mustard, plus more for dipping
- ½ large Avocado, cubed
- ¼ cup Cherry Tomatoes, quartered
- 1 pinch Flaky Salt
Instructions
- Prepare the buns: Split the King’s Hawaiian pretzel slider buns in half horizontally and arrange them evenly on a baking sheet, cut side up. This will ensure the buns toast nicely and are ready to hold the filling.
- Add cheese and broil: Evenly distribute the 8 slices of Pepper Jack cheese over the bun halves. Place the baking sheet under the broiler for a few minutes, watching closely until the cheese melts completely and the buns become warm and golden brown but do not burn.
- Coat the chicken: While the buns are warming, toss the roughly chopped fried chicken tenders with ½ cup of honey mustard dressing until every piece is thoroughly coated with a delicious tangy glaze.
- Assemble the sliders: Remove the buns from the oven and top the bottom halves with the honey mustard fried chicken mixture. Then add the cubed avocado and quartered cherry tomatoes. Sprinkle a pinch of flaky salt over the fillings to enhance all the flavors.
- Finish and serve: Place the top halves of the buns onto each slider, gently pressing them together. Pull them apart carefully and serve immediately with additional honey mustard sauce on the side for dipping, perfect for extra flavor.
Notes
- Keep an eye on the buns under the broiler to prevent burning; cheese melts quickly.
- For added crunch, consider adding crispy bacon strips between the chicken and avocado.
- Use freshly made honey mustard or store-bought depending on your preference.
- These sliders are best served warm but can be reheated briefly under the broiler if needed.
- Substitute fried chicken tenders with grilled chicken for a lighter version.
