Ingredients
Tofu Base
- 1 block soft or silken tofu (350 grams or 12.3 ounces)
Fresh Herbs
- 1/4 cup fresh dill
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup fresh chives
Flavorings & Seasonings
- 1/2 a lemon, juice only
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder (or 1 large clove garlic)
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast (yellow flakes)
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Drain and Press Tofu: Remove the tofu from its packaging and drain off the liquid. Wrap the tofu block in a paper towel and gently squeeze to remove excess moisture, ensuring a thicker and creamier dip.
- Add Ingredients to Food Processor: Place the drained tofu, fresh dill, parsley, chives, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, nutritional yeast, and apple cider vinegar into a large food processor. Season generously with salt and pepper.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend all ingredients until the dip becomes smooth and creamy. Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides of the processor to ensure an even consistency.
- Adjust Flavors and Serve: Taste the dip and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate. For a thicker, chilled dip, refrigerate for 30-60 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Storage: Keep stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Stir well before using if liquid separates.
- Serving Suggestions: Pair with raw crunchy veggies like cucumber rounds, baby carrots, sliced bell peppers, celery, or cherry tomatoes.
- Serve with crackers (such as almond flour or seed-based crackers) or sturdy, neutral-flavored chips.
- Drizzle a high-quality olive oil over the top for added richness.
- Use as a spread on sandwiches, pita wraps, or open-faced toasts.
- Add a scoop to grain bowls or salads for extra flavor, creaminess, and protein boost.
