These gut-healthy homemade gummies combine kombucha, fresh fruit, and grass-fed gelatin to create a nutritious and delicious snack that supports digestive wellness. Naturally sweetened with honey and packed with probiotic benefits, these easy-to-make gummies are perfect for a gut-friendly treat at any time.

  • Total Time: 2 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield: About 40-50 gummies depending on mold size

Ingredients

Liquid Base

  • 2 cups kombucha or 1 cup kombucha + 1 cup pineapple juice (or other juice of choice)

Sweetener

  • ⅓ – ½ cup honey

Fruit

  • 1 cup raspberries or strawberries

Gelatin

  • 8 tablespoons grass-fed gelatin powder

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Combine the kombucha and/or pineapple juice with the fresh raspberries or strawberries and honey in a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined. This creates the flavorful base for your gummies.
  2. Heat Mixture: Transfer the blended liquid into a small saucepan and warm it over medium-low heat until it just starts to simmer. Make sure not to let it boil as this can degrade the beneficial probiotics from the kombucha.
  3. Add Gelatin: Gradually scatter the grass-fed gelatin powder over the warm mixture while whisking continuously to prevent clumping. If clumps form, transfer the mixture back to the blender or use an immersion blender to blend until smooth.
  4. Reheat Briefly: Pour the gelatin-infused mixture back into the saucepan and heat on low for an additional minute, stirring constantly to ensure the gelatin is fully dissolved and incorporated.
  5. Mold the Gummies: Working quickly but gently, pour the warm mixture into silicone gummy molds or a lined brownie pan to shape the gummies.
  6. Chill Until Set: Refrigerate the molds for about 2 hours or place in the freezer for 30 minutes until the gummies harden completely.
  7. Remove and Serve: Once set, pop the gummies out of the molds or flip the brownie pan onto a cutting board and slice the gelatin into 1-inch cubes.
  8. Store Properly: Store the gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks to maintain freshness and texture.

Notes

  • To replace kombucha, use pineapple juice with 1-2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to mimic the tangy probiotic flavor.
  • Do not use collagen hydrolysate or collagen peptides as they will not gel properly; ensure you are using grass-fed gelatin powder for the correct consistency.
  • Adjust honey quantity from ⅓ to ½ cup depending on your desired sweetness.
  • Fresh or frozen fruit works, but fresh is recommended for flavor and texture.
  • Use silicone molds for easy removal of gummies.
