This Green Goddess Feta Dip features a vibrant blend of fresh herbs, creamy avocado, tangy lemon, and salty feta cheese, creating a smooth and flavorful dip perfect for pairing with crusty bread, fresh vegetables, or crackers.

  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: About 1 1/2 cups dip

Ingredients

Dip Ingredients

  • 5 ounces feta cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 1 large avocado, peeled and pitted
  • 1 lemon, juiced (about 2-3 tablespoons)
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh dill
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh mint
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup packed fresh chives (or green onions)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water (plus more as needed)
  • Sea salt and freshly-cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Blend: In a food processor, combine feta cheese, peeled garlic cloves, avocado, lemon juice, fresh dill, fresh mint, fresh basil, fresh chives, and Dijon mustard. Pulse briefly to mix the ingredients.
  2. Emulsify: While the food processor is running, slowly drizzle in 1/4 cup of olive oil until the mixture is well combined and emulsified. Then add 1/4 cup of water (or more) gradually to reach your desired creamy consistency.
  3. Season: Taste the dip and season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper as needed, blending briefly to incorporate the seasoning evenly.
  4. Serve: Immediately serve the dip with your choice of crusty bread, fresh veggies, or crackers. Alternatively, transfer the dip to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • Onion options: If you prefer, substitute the fresh chives or green onions with 1/4 cup chopped red onion or shallots for a different flavor profile.
  • Adjust water quantity to achieve your preferred dip consistency, adding more if necessary.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored refrigerated for up to 3 days.
