Ingredients
Wraps
- 4 extra-large or burrito-style flour tortillas
Filling
- 1 (9 oz) sliced turkey breast
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- ½ tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 cup fresh lettuce leaves
- 1 cup thinly sliced cucumber
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a small bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until smooth and well combined. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
- Spread the Mixture on Tortillas: Lay out one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Evenly spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture over the entire surface of the tortilla.
- Add Turkey and Cheese: Place a few slices of turkey breast evenly on top of the cream cheese layer, then add slices of cheddar cheese over the turkey to cover the tortilla surface.
- Layer Fresh Vegetables: Add fresh lettuce leaves followed by the thinly sliced cucumber evenly on top of the turkey and cheese layers.
- Roll the Tortilla: Starting from one edge, tightly roll the tortilla to form a firm pinwheel shape. Repeat this process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.
- Slice Into Pinwheels: Using a sharp knife, slice each rolled tortilla into 1-inch thick pieces to create individual pinwheel sandwiches.
- Serve or Store: Serve the turkey pinwheels immediately as a fresh snack, or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour before slicing to help them hold their shape.
Notes
- If tortillas feel dry or crack when rolling, wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for a few seconds to soften.
- For easier slicing and better shape retention, refrigerate wrapped pinwheels for at least an hour before cutting.
