  • Total Time: 20 minutes to 6 hours depending on method
  • Yield: Approximately 8 servings

Ingredients

Dip Base

  • 225 g cream cheese
  • 120 mL mayonnaise
  • 120 mL sour cream
  • 120 mL chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 mL onion powder

Vegetables

  • 285 g frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 395 g can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

Cheeses

  • 455 g shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 225 g shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base ingredients: Mince the garlic cloves and drain the frozen spinach and canned artichoke hearts thoroughly to avoid excess moisture in the dip.
  2. Combine ingredients in chosen cooking method: For Instant Pot, add chicken broth, minced garlic, and artichokes to the pot. Layer in spinach, mayo, sour cream, onion powder, and cream cheese. For Slow Cooker, combine chicken broth, garlic, artichokes, spinach, mayo, sour cream, onion powder, and cream cheese. For Oven, mix chicken broth, garlic, artichokes, spinach, mayo, sour cream, onion powder, and cream cheese in a bowl.
  3. Cook the mixture: Instant Pot: Set to manual high pressure for 4 minutes and use quick release. Slow Cooker: Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours until hot and bubbly. Oven: Preheat to 350°F (175°C), place mixture in baking dish covered with foil, and bake 25-30 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  4. Add cheese and finish cooking: Instant Pot: Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella until melted. Slow Cooker: Stir cheeses in after cooking until melted. Oven: Remove foil, sprinkle cheeses on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve the dip: Transfer the hot, creamy dip to a serving bowl. Let it cool slightly for safe serving temperature. Serve warm with chips, bread, or vegetable dippers.

Notes

  • Ensure to thoroughly drain the spinach and artichokes to prevent a watery dip.
  • You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream to lighten the dip slightly.
  • This recipe is versatile and can be made ahead; reheat gently before serving.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan and mozzarella for best melting quality and flavor.
  • For a vegetarian version, replace chicken broth with vegetable broth.
