Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 cup low-sodium chicken bone broth (homemade or high-quality store-bought)
- 2½ tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder (grass-fed if available)
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped parsley (optional)
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional)
Optional Add-Ins
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon shredded cooked chicken
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Warm the Bone Broth: Pour the bone broth into a small saucepan and warm it over low to medium heat until it’s just slightly steaming, avoiding boiling to preserve nutrients. If using homemade broth, skim off any excess fat that has solidified.
- Bloom the Gelatin: Pour the warm broth into a mixing bowl or keep it in the saucepan off the heat. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface and let it sit for 3–5 minutes without stirring so it absorbs the liquid and thickens.
- Dissolve the Gelatin and Add Nutrients: Place the saucepan back on low heat and gently stir until the gelatin dissolves completely. Stir in optional turmeric, coconut oil, parsley, cooked chicken, or apple cider vinegar if using. Blend until smooth and golden.
- Pour into Molds and Chill: Carefully pour the mixture into silicone molds or a parchment-lined shallow dish. Tap gently to remove air bubbles. Refrigerate for at least 2–3 hours until firm.
- Serve: Once set, pop the gummies out of molds or cut the set mixture into bite-sized pieces. Store in the refrigerator for freshness.
Notes
- Do not boil the bone broth to preserve collagen and amino acids.
- Use silicone molds for fun shapes, or a shallow dish to cut into pieces.
- Optional ingredients add nutritional benefits and flavor but are not required.
- Store gummies in the refrigerator and use within a week for best freshness.
