Ingredients
For the Biscoff Hot Chocolate:
- 250 ml Milk (1 cup) – whole, skim, or any dairy-free alternative such as almond, oat, or coconut milk
- 2 tbsp Biscoff Spread
- 1 tsp Cocoa Powder or Hot Chocolate Powder
Optional Toppings:
- Whipped Cream, as desired
- 2 Biscoff Biscuits, crushed
- 1 tbsp Drizzled Biscoff Spread
Instructions
- Heat the Milk: Pour 250 ml of your chosen milk into a medium saucepan and heat over medium to high heat. Stir occasionally to ensure even heating. When the milk steams but does not boil, remove from heat.
- Add Biscoff Spread and Cocoa Powder: Add 2 tablespoons of Biscoff spread and 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder or hot chocolate powder to the hot milk. Whisk thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and fully combined, with no lumps.
- Reheat the Mixture: Return the saucepan to low to medium heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture is gently steaming or bubbling, making sure it doesn’t stick or burn. This enriches the flavors and warms the drink through.
- Pour and Top: Pour the hot chocolate into your favorite mug. Top with a generous swirl of whipped cream, drizzle an additional tablespoon of Biscoff spread over the cream, and sprinkle crushed Biscoff biscuits for added texture and flavor.
- Serve and Enjoy: Sip and savor the comforting blend of spiced Biscoff and rich chocolate in a creamy hot drink, perfect for a cozy winter treat or sharing with guests.
Notes
- Do not let the milk boil to avoid scorching or curdling. Remove it from heat as soon as it steams.
- Stir continuously when adding Biscoff spread and cocoa powder to prevent clumping and achieve a smooth texture.
- Adjust sweetness by adding more Biscoff spread or sweetener to taste. You can also increase cocoa for a deeper chocolate flavor.
- For a dairy-free version, substitute milk with almond, oat, or coconut milk and use dairy-free whipped cream if desired.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg to enhance warmth and spice, complementing the Biscoff flavor beautifully.
