Ingredients
Sliders
- 3/4 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced and divided
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 6 slices American or cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce (iceberg or romaine)
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (salted or unsalted)
- 2 teaspoons sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
Big Mac Sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons relish
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat and Cook Beef: Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, half of the diced onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease if necessary.
- Prepare Buns: Carefully cut the rolls in half lengthwise using a serrated or sharp knife. Place the bottom slider buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Make Big Mac Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, relish, yellow mustard, paprika, ketchup, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well to create the Big Mac sauce.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread half of the Big Mac sauce on the bottom half of each roll. Layer with cooked ground beef, a slice of cheese, shredded lettuce, and pickles. Drizzle the remaining sauce over the toppings, then place the top half of the buns on the sliders.
- Butter and Seed Topping: Brush melted butter over the top of the sliders, then sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake Sliders: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the sliders are heated through.
- Serve: Allow the sliders to cool for a few minutes, then cut into 12 individual sliders and enjoy.
Notes
- You can substitute American cheese with cheddar or your preferred melty cheese.
- If you don’t have slider buns, mini sandwich buns or dinner rolls work well.
- The sauce can be prepared a day ahead to enhance flavors.
- For extra crispiness, toast the buns lightly before assembly.
- Adjust seasoning in the beef mixture to taste.
